Today Trent's Mom, sister, and I took a drive down to San Luis Obispo to check out The Jack House where Trent and I will be married. I have been there many times but had never taken a tour. The tour was very interesting. The house was originally owned by the Jack family who owned the Jack Ranch Near 41 East. It was built in the late 1800s after they discovered their youngest daughter was seriously ill. They moved from the ranch to SLO to be closer to doctors. But on the long (in those days) journey from the ranch to where the Jack House is today, the ill child died. The Jack family consisted of father,Edgar, mother, Nelly, and five children, including the young girl that passed. They were wealthy and great entertainers. After Edgar and Nelly passed the house was left to the two children that never married. After they died, the remaining family decided they didn't want the house and gave it up to the city, who still owns it today. It had gone through quite a bit of refurbishing before it was what it is today. If you want to know more, take a tour. They are open on Sundays from 1-4pm. I also posted a little video that I had made with the pictures I took. Enjoy!
